Driver Requirements, documents and Conditions

Yes, you must make a partial or total prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation through us.

If you have not proceeded to pay the penalty during your rental period, you will receive the notification at your address with the necessary instructions to make the corresponding payment. We must indicate that we will proceed to collect 30 € for the identification of the driver and management of the penalty, as stipulated in our General Contract Conditions.

The rental days are calculated for periods of 24 hours from the exact time the vehicle is delivered and until its return. Partial days must be paid in full.

No, our insurance is not covered outside the Balearic Islands. It is strictly forbidden to entry the vehicle to any Ferry. If you want to travel to Formentera, you will need our authorization and the authorization of the Consell de Fomentera.

The amount of the deposit varies according to the category of the vehicle, are divided into 4 vehicles:

Mercedes Vito: € 1000 franchise

Mercedes V:  € 1300 franchise

Range Rover Velar:  € 1,800 franchise

Range Rover Sport:  € 2000 franchise

The rental has a limited mileage of 200km per day. It’s a mileage practically impossible to exceed in Ibiza.
Extra Km: 0,8€ / km TAX included

Upon pick up, an authorization for the full amount of the rental and the security hold will be processed. Upon the return of the rental, Motion will release the security hold within 24 business hours and only charge your card the full amount of the rental.

Note: depending on your banking institution it can take 3 to 10 business days for the hold to be released from your account.

Please ensure you get to a safe location for you and the passengers in your vehicle. Once in a safe location, please contact the local authorities first in order to file a police report. Vehicle include «Declaración Amistosa de Accidente de Automóvil (DAA)», It is a model form, similar to a questionnaire, in which the different fields are filled in to provide the insurance company with the necessary explanations about how the accident occurred.

Ensure that you complete the DAA and get the other party’s contact information so we may pursue them and/or their insurance company on your behalf for damages. Please note that if you don’t do this process correctly, you have a contractual obligation to pay for the damage.

All vehicles must be refueled to the same level that you received at the time of pick up. If you are running late to return your car and you could not refuel, bring back the vehicle and we can refuel it for a service fee.  Fee +20% from gasoline rate of gas station.

No, at the time of booking, the driver’s name must be provided along with the credit card used for payment. The name listed on the credit card being used must also match the driver’s name. In case you are a company please contact us by email.

If you are late with your rental vehicle and don’t need extra days, please head back to the branch at your earliest convenience. If you need to extend your rental, please contact us under +34 871 182 815 

All rentals are charged based on a 24 hour billing period. Only when a rental exceeds a cycle of 24 hours will any additional daily charge apply. We do allow a 30 minute grace period for your convenience at return.

We are a little rent a car business, family business, which means that many times our vehicles are already reserved in advance, especially in the months of high demand on the island of Ibiza.
If you wish to extend the rental period, you must first contact us as soon as possible, then we will check availability and inform you if it is possible to extend the rent. If this is not possible, you must return the vehicle. Please be sure about the times of your rental.

Our office opening times is 9:00 AM to 21:00 PM, any car pickup or drop-off outside this times will have a unique surcharge of 60€.

Yes, we do allow up to 3 additional drivers per contract. If the additional drivers cannot be present when you pick up the vehicle, the main driver must be present with their copies of the valid driving licenses.  A fee will be applied for adding each additional driver.

The minimum age to rent a vehicle in our company is 25 years and the driver must have a valid driver’s license. If the driver is between the ages of 23 to 24 we charge an Underage Driver Fee of € 20 per day .

Driving license, valid ID or passport recognized by Spanish law and a credit card in the name of the main driver.

About my booking

All services will be paid by credit card. Presencial you can use a debit car.  The retention of the security deposit will only be possible by credit card. Motion only accepts VISA and MASTERCARD credit cards

Yes, you must make a partial or total prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation through us.

1. Select the type of vehicle you want to rent.
2. Enter the vehicle’s collection point in our search engine, dates and times of collection and return.
3. Include recommended accessory services and additional accessories in your reservation.
4. Enter your personal information to finalize the reservation.

After this the process will continue by email or phone.

Unless otherwise stated, the rental quote/price displayed on the final page when booking online includes:
  • Daily rate
  • Statutory taxes
  • Additional extras (if selected)
  • All surcharges and fees (if applicable at the begging of the rental).

At Motion, you can view and obtain copies of your past rental invoices up to six months from the return of your rental. For recent returns, please allow up to 3 business days from the date of vehicle return for a copy of the rental receipt to be available.

About the Rental Vehicles

Normally, stickers are placed onto the fuel doors and/or caps, to advise you of the fuel type. However, if this is not the case on your rental vehicle, please call us before re-fueling. If you believe you have re-fueled the vehicle incorrectly, do not start the vehicle, as this is likely to cause further damage and create a greater cost not included in the insurance or in your Franchise/deposit. It is imperative that this is reported to us immediately.

Please be aware that the incorrect re-fueling of our vehicles is excluded from the Loss Damage Waiver, and the full cost of repairs will be charged to you.

Yes, always, we only work with delivery/collection service from 4 different locations: Ibiza Airport, your Villa, your Hotel, and your Yacht.

Motion operates on a non-smoking policy in all of our vehicles. We will enforce a special cleaning fee to the renter if a returned vehicle requires special cleaning to remove any evidence of smoking.  Minimum fee 40 € – Maximum fee 120 €
